The Maryland School for the Deaf has been providing quality K-12 education for deaf students for 150 years. They focus on teaching American Sign Language and English for early language acquisition, in order to foster literacy in both languages. They also teach a variety of other subjects, including math, science, and social studies. The MSD strives to provide a “home-away-from-home” environment for their resident students.
